GAA ARCHITECTS COMBINES QUALITY AND ECONOMY IN DESIGN OF GATEWAY CORPORATE OFFICE CENTER
TWO 3-STORY OFFICE BUILDINGS TOTALING MORE THAN 166,OOO SQ FT ARE NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION
DIAMOND BAR, CA: GAA Architects of Irvine, California was selected by Trammell Crow Company to design the new Gateway Corporate Office Center. According to Trammell Crow's Vice President, Development Services, David Nazaryk, "Trammell Crow has built a long-standing relationship with GAA because of their superior quality of design, service and understanding of issues concerning all parties involved in the project."
Travelers Insurance is key to this project because it will fully occupy one of the two 3-story buildings. "With the Gateway Corporate Office Center, our goal was to create a campus environment and a building aesthetic that could be repeated in a cost effective manner for Travelers offices in other regions and states," said Dan MacDavid, Principal, Director of Design at GAA. GAA Architects chose to construct the office center from tilt-up concrete because it allows construction to move quickly, and it is very economical for low-rise office buildings. Tilt-up concrete is also more cost effective than an equivalent steel structure, thereby producing savings that result in lower rent for occupants.
GAA: QUALITY AND ECONOMY IN GATEWAY DESIGN
With a central plaza lunch area located between the two buildings and five parking stalls per 1,000 square feet, the plan is built to suit high-density traffic. The 13.3-acre site, located near the intersection of the 60 and 57 Freeways in Diamond Bar, provides excellent access to Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire.
GAA has over 20 years of experience and expertise in designing high tech, corporate and industrial facilities.
