Surmounting a wide variety of complex design and construction challenges ranging from existing oil wells to strict code regulations, (OMP) Overton Moore Properties' Citadel Business Center, a 24 acre, $43 million industrial campus in the City of Commerce is nearing completion.

Most of the site's ten buildings, designed by GAA Architects of Irvine and constructed by Millie & Severson, have found buyers, a fact GAA's Craig Williamson attributes to the Citadel Business Center's choice Civic Center adjacent location. Williamson, who along with Michael Sajjadi of (OMP) coordinated the design team's effort, adds, ''Working closely with (OMP), we were able to revive a stagnant and abandoned industrial site into a commercially competitive and profitable modern campus. We started with a great location (Citadel takes its name from its neighbor, the familiar 5 Freeway Assyrian Style Citadel Outlet Mall, itself a converted Uniroyal Tire Factory) and ended with a great site.''
